This year, due to the unprecedented health risks of the COVID-19 pandemic, the MS Drama Club must adapt our program. Since your children's health and well-being is our number one priority, we are taking our show on-line!
In the past few years we have been proud to watch our Drama Club grow in number. Last year, for Frozen Jr, we had:
Ms. Oliveri, Mrs. Peters, Ms. Fusco, Mr. Goldman and I are determined to keep the Drama Club alive in some fashion. We love this club, the people who participate in it and the community it has become. Therefore, we have found a show that allows for safe rehearsals (either in person or via Webex) and can be filmed and broadcast so that audiences can watch in a socially-distant, safe manner.
The Show Must Go Online! is a timely, funny, charming and witty mini-musical. The only downside is that is written for only 20 performers. Therefore, after much thought and discussion, we had to make the difficult choice to only offer the Drama Club experience to 7th graders this year. As much as this breaks our hearts, our hope is that this year's 5th and 6th graders will be able to participate fully in the Drama Club next year. For the 7th graders, on the other hand, this is their last chance. And, since we know we will have more than 20 7th graders who want to participate, and because the show is only 35 minutes in length, we will have 2 casts of the show - two films will be created, each starring 20 7th grade performers.
We know this news will disappoint quite a few students and community members, but, please understand that this is the best we can do under these extraordinary circumstances. We hope you all will support the club and be a part of our audience when we premier our shows.
And, even more, we hope to see ALL of the 5th and 6th graders interested in joining us next year ON OUR STAGE IN OUR BEAUTIFUL AUDITORIUM!

- over 200 kids participate as actors or crew
- over 100 teachers and parents working behind the scenes
- over 3000 people in the audience over the 4-night run of the performances
