Excellent auditions today. Seriously...excellent. You made us very proud. As we pointed out, for the first time in years we had double the amount of people audition than we have roles for. While that is a nice problem to have, it is going to disappoint half of you. And, for that, we are truly sorry. Please know that if we praised you after your audition today we MEANT it! Sometimes, even when you do your best work, things just don't go as you hope they will. Remember, other people are doing their best work, too.
Also, when the cast list is posted tomorrow after school, if your name is not on it, we will include names of people we hope will be willing to be the featured "maid" and "butler" set movers. These people will be an integral part of the whole show and will be considered part of the cast. If you agree to taking on one of those roles, please let us know.
For tomorrow's call-backs (on stage at 2:50) we would like to see the following people for the following roles. Please prepare the scenes from the auditions. You do NOT have to memorize your scene(s), but you should be VERY familiar with the lines and have a character prepared. Make BOLD choices. This is an over-the-top comedy. Nothing subtle.
For Wadsworth: Grant Adel and Michael Perro. Be very proper and British, but a bit sinister.
For Yvette: Kimberly Sandoval, Maria Swartwood and Sophia Gonzales. Be over-the-top French stereotype.
For Col. Mustard: Kevin Melara, Wes Coleman and Grant Adel. Be a gruff, bumbling old man.
For Mrs. White: Grace Cosgrove & Leah Anzelone. Be a sinister, mysterious woman. Make the mini-monologue unhinged and nuts!
For Mr. Green: Wes Coleman & Jason Morgan. Make the difference between anxious Green and Bold Green very big. Make bold Green very alpha-male.
For Prof. Plum: Kevin Melara and Jason Morgan. Make him very intellectual.
For Miss Scarlet: Sophia Probst, Leah Anzalone, Bella Buono. She is a low-class tough cookie (maybe a low class NY accent?) but thinks she is high class.
Mr. Boddy: Devin Steiner and Knox Pace. Make him like a well-dressed gangster.
For Mrs. Peacock: Brooke Anzalone and Jess Perrino. Make her a zany, batty older lady.
For Cook: Maria Swartwood and Jess Perrino. Please use the lines on page 8 of the script (it's only a few). This woman should be mysterious and sinister. She says a lot with her eyes and her face.
