The Show Must Go On Line!
Filming Information
In order to produce a quality video, please remember to do the following:
By April 9, we will need to see a dress rehearsal video. Please follow all these steps and film yourself and submit the video to the shared drive. We will watch it and give you feedback in case any changes need to be made. After you have received our feedback, your final video MUST be submitted by April 16.
While it may be possible to film this on your own, it would be best if you have an adult help you so that you can make sure all of these steps are followed and the video looks as good as it can.
Filming Information
In order to produce a quality video, please remember to do the following:
- Actors: Be sure you are filming in LANDSCAPE rather than in portrait mode. Dancers: Film in PORTRAIT mode.
- Be sure your face is well-lit. You may use natural light or electric light, but be sure the light is above or in front of you and NOT behind you.
- If we do not need to see any movement, then frame the shot so we are seeing your head and shoulders.
- If you need to show movement (or dogs, or a box with a tissue in it or stuffed animals, etc.) you can either:
- Set up the camera further away so we can see your body
- Set up the camera further away so we can see your body, but move in closer (head and shoulders) for when you are just talking and back up when you need to show the movement
- Be sure we can HEAR you! Speak loudly, slowly and clearly!
- If you need music, be sure the music is playing at the same volume as your voice so we hear both you AND the music.
- Look directly into the camera.
- Unless the camera is supposed to be hand-held (Maria), set up your camera on a tripod or at least something stable. Be sure the camera is situated so it is level.
- If you are filming on your iPhone, you can go into SETTINGS, then CAMERA, then, where it says "Record Video," tap and select 720p.
